The mission of the International American Medical Mission (IAMM) is to bring health, hope and healing to those who lack access to proper medical care. IAMM, which was established in 2000, has conducted over 25 medical missions nationally within the United States and internationally within the Caribbean. Our campaigns in America have taken place in Chicago, Illinois; Kansas City, Kansas; Washington D.C., Montgomery, Alabama, and San Antonio, Texas. Campaigns in the Caribbean have taken place in various locations in the countries of Haiti and Jamaica. Each international medical campaign sees on average about 750-1000 individuals. Over the years, IAMM has distributed over $500,000 worth of pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment during their international missions. The average cost per patient exam, including medication, resources, and treatment is about $30.
During national missions, IAMM's doctors, nurses and support staff will screen for many medical conditions and ailments. During the week-long national campaigns, IAMM collaborates with other medical resource providers and sponsors a health fair. This fair brings medical resources and supplies from various medical disciplines to encourage healthier lifestyles. Patients who need further consultation and treatment will be referred to local providers for further medical evaluation. IAMM's mission of bringing health, hope and healing is supported by those who see the need and need to help.
